    Great Anthology of Pre-Pop Folk Music

    This is a great and entertaining anthology of folk music before it was infused with commercialism and celebrity!.

    Nice sounding set of the original 3 LPs

    It is good that 3 complete LPs from the 1960 Newport Folk Festival is finally reissued on CD, problem is that the original liners aren't there .

    Folk pleasures. Some great old time bluegrass and blues. I even enjoyed Tommy Makem's excruciating pipes.

    A classic window back into the folk scene of 1960, I particularly enjoyed John Lee Hooker's contribution.
