Acquistato dopo un viaggio in Svezia e Danimarca, mi ha riportato lì! Una cultura veramente avanti, lo consiglio!

I love the way the author, Meik Wiking, illustrates the Danish concept of 'hygge' and how the book is intertwined with descriptions of places, cultures and traditions in Denmark. I loved how she portraits the healthy way Danish people intend relationships and the fact that everybody must feel equal and under no pression in the moment. Hygge is being in the present moment and savoring it, indulging. I love the pictures, the recipes (that I'll certainty try this Christmas!) and the tips to create hygge spots at home or memories.

I believe it is a good book on happiness if, like me, you want to see what the ingredients are to achieve it and on Denmark too.

Lettura interessante. Tante idee per la casa, l’atmosfera e le sensazioni legate alla propria abitazione e alle relazioni sociali. Il concetto del “sentire” più che del “fare” viene descritto in maniera profonda ed accurata. Consigliatissimo.

Libro dedicato allo stile hygge danese, spiega i punti fondamentali su cui si basa questo stile di vita, anche se in inglese è abbastanza semplice da capire.

Una lettura semplice, un inglese davvero basico a molto comprensivo per rilassarsi con un libro che parla di cosa ci rilassa..e ci rende felici..personalmente credo sia troppo generalizzato e poco realistico, ma nell'insieme è molto carino anche per un regalo non troppo formale..

Nice book, with an attractive design and beautiful photos. Arrived as always in time and in perfect condition.
Perfect, as a present, or as leasure reading for those who want to life more mindfully and practice slow-living.

The book allows you to penetrate into the atmosphere of Danish lifestyle, even if you've never been there. It is all about interpersonal relationships, fun, being present in the moment, enjoy your life, eat tasty food and "live today like there's no coffee tomorrow".
Though sometimes repetitive, the book is incredibly enjoyable, and I'd highly reccoment it to everyone who's searching for fulfillment and happiness throughout practicing slow-living. Nowadays, in such a chaotic world we're living it, this concept is more relevant than ever.

Hygge overload!

Il piacere di leggere questo libro, oltre a scoprire il significato della parola Danese "Hygge", si concentra nell'essere in grado di provare la sensazione che il termine racchiude. Il libro infatti è un vero e proprio generatore di Hygge, che permette di immergersi nella calda atmosfera descritta dall'autore quasi appieno.
Assolutamente consigliato da leggere a chi, come me, ha bisogno di staccare dal mondo frenetico che ci circonda, in una stanza illuminata dalla luce soffusa di un paio di candele, una bella coperta confortevole e magari una tazza di thé caldo fra le mani.

Did not know what to expect when buying this book. it is basically a coffee table book I purchased as a gift for my mother. She loves it though, there are all kinds of really neat facts and fascinating things contained therein. I flipped through it a bit and found it was a nice collection of living life as simple and cosy as possible. I recommend for anyone looking to just have a beautiful piece of art sitting on their table for company to quickly flip through when visiting.

Book arrived quickly and as described. Lovely easy reading . Gives Hygge inspiration. Just a slight mark on the cover but otherwise in excellent condition. I will use this site in the future.
