I read this with my 12 year old son who is dyslexic and he has asked me to say the following:
He wanted me to rate it 20 stars out of 5! The book was a fun way to learn about history and a bit of geography. 'I got to learn about some characters I might not hear about at school e.g. King Runnolf; it keeps your attention, it blocks your mind out from anything else. Be good for primary and secondary school children'. As a mum I found this much more engaging and interesting than the usual things he likes ( e.g. Ben 10) and thought it was very original and well written. We are looking forward to the next one - or possibly the film!

After searching for time travel type books for my reluctant reader grandson, found this and it seems to have gone down well. He liked the look of the cover and went off to start reading straight away. Has now finished and has asked me to get him another one. Is there another due out?

I gave up history at school as soon as I could and always regretted it; so I bought this for my daughter in the hope that it would spark her interest. I was delighted when she very enthusiastically told me it was "epic!" She doesn't say that very often (at least, not about books!)
I've read it too and am looking forward to the next book in the series - and not just for my daughter's sake sake ;-)
